Evening by the Glass
I took a slow walk from the low table over to the wide windowsill. Took a few steady strides along the cool painted wood to find the right spot. Right by the glass sat an empty ceramic mug and a heavy metal coin. I leaned back against the mug's rounded handle, crossed one boot over the other, and watched the streetlights flicker on outside. Tiny cars humming along down below. Good breeze slipping through the window seam. Just right for winding down.
