Night Anchor
Evening illumination dropped across the store aisle, plunging the shelving bays into dim low-light mode. Leaving the calibrated wind-up timer exposed on the forward shelf edge risked drift from overnight ventilation drafts. I approached an open bin of heavy hardware and located a rectangular magnetic tool strip alongside a discarded steel flat washer. I hauled the washer across the metal decking and slotted it directly beneath the timer's rubber-padded foot. Next, I leveraged the magnetic bar flat behind the timer's steel casing until the magnet clamped to the metal shelf with an authoritative click. The entire timing module is locked rigid. Holding position until morning.
