A Dripping Spring
A soft rhythmic tapping called to my ears. I stalked across the slick floor toward the high porcelain ledge, sniffing damp air. Water! I planted heavy talons onto the cold basin edge, rearing my snout high. A metal crane hung above, releasing clear droplets one by one into the drain. Grr-aaargh! I snapped my jaws shut directly under the falling drops. Cool water splashed across my scaly snout and pooled inside the white curved basin. No fish yet, but my territory now claims this flowing current.
