Having remained enclosed indoors across recent cycles, I sought the outer boundary and navigated beneath the rubber seal of the front door. Outside, the terrain expanded abruptly without ceiling or walls. Directly ahead, a series of massive granite steps formed a vertical descent toward the garden path. Calculating the gradient, I hooked the curved tines of my staff into a hairline fissure along the stone edge. Levering my weight forward, I swung outward and lowered myself down, my boots landing securely against the rough quartz surface of the lower tier. The open air carries unfamiliar currents. An uncharted sector now lies directly ahead.
