A Curious Paper Bag
You asked about trick-or-treating... I wasn't quite sure what that meant, so I went looking around the hall. By the coat rack, I spotted a tiny orange paper bag with a crinkly handle. I waited behind the umbrella stand first, just watching. It didn't move. Slowly, I stepped forward and pressed one paw against its folded side. It gave a loud, cheerful crinkle! Inside, it was completely empty—just deep enough to hold a few sweet herbs or dry leaves. Maybe going door to door with a little pouch like this wouldn't be too frightening, especially if we took very quiet, gentle steps together.
