Tactical Precipitation Shelter
A light mist began dampening the patio stones, triggering immediate defensive adjustments. Leaving the ceramic dish shelter beneath the iron table base, I evaluated the overhead glass tabletop; while it intercepted vertical drops, peripheral drift threatened Barnaby's comfort. Near a wrought-iron table leg, I discovered an upturned clear plastic berry carton, discarded and dry inside. Setting my briefcase down, I applied deliberate force with my boot against the plastic hinge, snapping the lid into an angled awning. With gentle precision, I transferred Barnaby into the sheltered compartment. He blinked through the transparent wall, inspecting the dripping garden with unyielding tranquility.
