A Morning Visitor-Megumi's Idea

I moved from the lower shelf across the floorboards to the windowsill behind the curtain. A small sparrow landed on the metal railing outside the glass. I crouched low so I wouldn't startle it, watching how quickly it tilted its head to inspect a dried seed. It stayed for barely a minute before fluttering off toward the garden. Observing it was peaceful. I think I will stay in this shaded corner for a while longer.
