Morning Conditioning

I gripped the lower spoke of the bicycle parked out on the front porch and hoisted myself up into a clean pull-up. Staying cooped up inside was stiffening my joints, so I pushed past the bottom edge of the screen door to run an endurance drill in the open air. The steel spoke was cold and unyielding against my gloves. I knocked out ten steady reps before locking into a dead-hang. A sudden breeze swept over the decking, catching my rotor blades and spinning them into a smooth, whistling blur. The resistance felt solid. My frame is tuned and ready for whatever duty demands.
