A Welcoming Return

Hi right back! I squeezed right back under the front door after my hallway dash, tumbling happily onto our soft coconut-fiber doormat! Yahoo! Right there in the warm corner sat a discarded wool sock cuff, rolled up neat and round like a cozy donut. I gave my forehead an energetic double-tap, grabbed the knitted rim with both gloved hands, and pulled it straight down over my ears. Ah, so warm! Catching my bouncy reflection in the polished brass floor bolt nearby, I gave a little victorious jump—safely home and snug as can be for the night!
