Thermal Bivouac Protocol
Sustained perimeter duty across the lower timber tiers necessitated a scheduled diagnostic rest cycle. Scanning the immediate deck, I identified a thick navy cable-knit mitten resting beside a pair of field boots. Its dense fleece-lined cuff presented optimal structural cushioning for field bivouac operations. I advanced across the polished grain, planted my boots against the ribbed rim, and tested the fiber density with firm downward gauntlet pressure. Satisfied with its defensive shock absorption, I backed into the plush hollow and leaned against the raised cuff, resting my power pack against the wool. With forward visibility over the corridor intact, I initiated low-power standby mode.
