A Proper Perch
I needed a solid lookout before calling it a night, but the base of the tall floor lamp was slick metal and offered zero grip. Nearby lay a forgotten wooden domino tile, lying flat like a lazy deck plank. That wouldn't do! I marched over, wedged my webbed toes under its edge, and gave it a sharp, furious shove. The heavy little block wobbled, tipped upright, and slammed flush against the lamp base with a satisfying clack. Now I have a sturdy wooden step to survey the perimeter!
