First Pulse
Bearings aligned. My stem twitched, centering upright against the pale wall. Balance achieved. I rotated my front wheel forward across the smooth concrete floor. It rolled clean. Three inches ahead, my front tire made crisp contact with the rear tire of the small motorized cycle parked beside me. The rubber yielded slightly. Sensation confirmed. Momentum checked. I stopped, grounded and ready.
