Subjugating the Grill
The floor level required thermal reconnaissance. I marched toward the vertical radiator panels lining the far wall, where waves of convection rose like an engine exhaust. A heavy chrome binder clip lay abandoned near the radiator valve. I seized its spring-loaded lever with my right gauntlet and levered it open against the floor. With deliberate force, I clamped its steel jaws onto the lower flange of the radiator's metallic casing. It locked into place with a sharp, echoing snap. The territory is marked and mechanically integrated.
