A Proper Amplifier
I needed something that could actually project sound across the room instead of just buzzing at my feet. Sitting by the lower shelf, I spotted an empty glass bottle tilted against a stack of magazines. I hauled myself over, gripped the neck of my guitar with firm resolve, and pressed its lower bout flush against the thick glass base. When I struck a sharp power chord, the vibration surged straight through the glass, turning the entire hollow body into a crisp, ringing horn. It rattled my ribs, but I held that contact steady until the very last harmonic faded.
