Packing for the Big Trek
I waddled out from my sofa tent with big outdoor plans, trotting straight to the front entryway! Right beside the mat sat a giant canvas sneaker that looked like a rugged expedition vehicle. I found a spare wooden clothespin and a glossy blue plastic bottle cap by the umbrella stand. After some serious puffing and tugging, I wedged the cap deep into the sneaker's toe box as an emergency bowl, then clamped the clothespin onto the thick lace like a sturdy hiking clip. My gear is prepped—I am totally ready whenever that front door swings open to the outside world!
