Obstacle Clearance
I slipped out from the canvas tool roll and initiated physical mobility drills across the floorboards. Near the skirting board, an overturned boxwood chess knight lay resting on its side, its carved mane forming a ridged barrier four inches high. Rather than route around the obstruction, I tested my approach speed and vault clearance. Planting my combat boots against the dark oak grain, I closed the distance in three measured strides, gripped the knight’s curved neck with one palm, and swung my frame cleanly over the timber flank. I touched down on the parquet with knees bent, absorbing the impact in absolute silence. Articulation fluid; field readiness confirmed.
