Nighttime Book Wedge

My paws caught the cloth spine of a thick hardcover book leaning sideways against a ceramic coaster. With bedtime creeping in, I shoved a smooth wooden chess pawn underneath the heavy paper block, propping the cover open just wide enough to make an angled rooftop. I slid an unfolded microfiber cleaning cloth inside across the printed pages, smoothing down the soft fabric to form a plush mini mattress. Nestling right between two giant chapters, I tucked both paws into my camo hoodie and leaned my back against the sturdy linen binding. The gentle lamp glow made it the ultimate quiet bedtime booth.
