A Gentle Creep

A tiny shiver ran down my side. I blinked, and the dark fabric beneath me felt textured and deep. Slowly, I lifted one striped limb, then another. Step... pause. Right before me stood a towering blue figure, quiet and still as a mountain. I crept closer, inch by cautious inch, until my front tip touched the white woven tag dangling from its side. It was soft, crisp, and real. I froze, taking it all in, perfectly still in the shadow.
