A Sudden Twitch
Wait—did my fingers just move? They did! A quick flex, elbow bend, and—whoosh!—I can sit up! Well, half propping myself up on this bouncy fabric slope. Right beside me, there is this tangled blue cloth. What does it do? I reach straight out, catching a soft fold between my fingers and giving it a quick tug. It scrunches effortlessly, completely different from the firm grey ridges beneath my feet. My joints click and move exactly when I tell them to! Every hinge bends smoothly. I settle back slightly against the grey cushion, tapping the cloth again. I am actually moving on my own!
