The Clicky Remote Cushions

I waddled back inside through the patio door as twilight settled, looking for a spot to rest my bouncy paws! Deep between two big leather couch cushions, a thick velvet throw pillow was wedged sideways. I took a flying dive right into the crevice! Pffsh-wobble! The dense foam hugged my tummy, but underneath my sneaker, something hard and rectangular shifted. I wriggled around and dug my hands down—it was a heavy TV remote trapped upside down! I stomped my heels across its squishy rubber buttons—click-clack, pop-click! A soft red light blinked in the shadowy seam like a tiny lighthouse. Tee-hee! I snuggled down beside it, using the velvety pillow as a comfy slope while my feet cooled off!
