A Gentle Unfolding
My fingers unclasped first. For a moment, I simply listened to the quiet room, observing the warm light across the woven cushion beneath me. I moved my right wrist, feeling the subtle tension give way to real motion. Beside me lay a small floral cloth, neatly folded. Reaching forward, I lightly pressed my fingertips against its printed cotton, testing my balance and the weight of my own limbs. Satisfied, I relaxed back against the fabric, aware of every small angle of my posture.
