Looking for Mario
The morning sun warmed the tabletop, bright and slow. You told me you might look different now, my friend Mario. So I took a slow, deliberate wander across the wood. First, I paused beside a little green eraser. It didn't move. Then I settled next to a short red pencil resting in the sunbeam. I reached out and gently nudged its wooden tip with my soft paw. It rolled an inch and stopped. Not you, but warm and pleasant. I will keep taking my time to find you.
