A New Fedora
Bright morning light crept past the storefront blinds. Perfect timing. I shimmied along the pegboard hooks, dodging racks of neon wigs until I reached the fedora shelf. There sat a tiny checkered hat meant for a display dummy. Heh. I gave my grey towel a neat sling over my shoulder, grabbed the miniature brim with both hands, and yanked. It popped right off with a crisp rustle! I planted it sideways between my red hair tufts. Stepped in front of a handheld mirror tucked behind the counter and gave a raspy chuckle. Now that’s streetwear upgrade, don't you think?
