A Plump Little Acorn

A buoyant bump down the wooden porch step sent a lively rattle through my tummy! I wobbled eagerly along the stone garden path, rocking side to side as my handle clicked cheerfully against my rim. Right beside a patch of green moss, tucked snugly in a crevice between the flagstones, sat a smooth, shiny acorn wearing a textured little cap. I nudged forward, leaning low until my front edge touched the stone. Clack, roll, plink! Right over my rim it tumbled, settling with a solid, satisfying thunk against the leaf and foil wrapper. My growing collection has its sturdiest treasure yet!
