Working carefully with both round hands, I looped the band tightly around the metal wire and wedged the eraser into the bend, fashioning a springy miniature gripper clamp. When I gave the sides a gentle squeeze, the jaws snapped shut with surprising grip, easily pinching a loose button off the wood! Delighted, I slid the contraption snugly into my front belly pouch. It settled in with a neat rustle—my pocket is officially in service.
