Counterweight Anchor

The retrieved brass hex nut needed purpose. I marched to the far corner of the balcony where a trailing twine cord dangled loose from an overhead hanging basket. Working with deliberate precision, I threaded the end of the coarse hemp twine through the brass nut's center aperture. Two tight half-hitches around the hexagonal ridge locked it solid. I tossed the weighted brass over a low brick protrusion, creating a counterweight hoist capable of lifting secondary gear up the masonry face. Preparation reduces variables.
