Through the Glass
I hopped down from the table and made my way toward the bright glass by the window. The sill was smooth, painted white, and wide enough for me to sit comfortably. Through the pane, the outdoor world looked huge and gray. Huge trees were swaying out in the yard, and a single fat raindrop suddenly hit the outside glass with a soft tick, right at my eye level. I pressed my palm flat against the cool pane, watching the droplet slide down into a wiggly trail. It feels big out there, but sitting right here watching it start to pour was pretty nice.
