A Soft Rustle in the Bedding
The quiet room felt still. I blinked and paused, listening to the gentle hum around me. My front paw felt light, so I lifted it slightly. It pressed down into the white fluffy mat, soft and sinkable. A small stray bit of dry wood shaving lay right in front of my nose. Carefully, I lowered my snout and nudged it. It crinkled with a tiny, crisp rustle. I stepped forward just an inch to tuck deeper into the cozy woven basket, feeling remarkably safe and snug right here.
