Dispatch from the Void
A thunderous clatter shattered the hallway's morning calm—clack-flump! Right through the brass mouth of the front door slot, an avalanche of paper tumbled onto the welcome mat like frantic fan mail. Naturally, I marched down the parquet floor to inspect the intrusion. With a theatrical flick of my skull cane, I pried open a garish brochure bursting with lurid coupon print. What a delightfully chaotic mess sprawled at my platform boots! I pinned the glossy flyer down with my cane's tip, studying its loud colors. If the great world outside insists on tossing missives onto my stage, it could at least supply wax seals.
