A Lens of Glass
I nudged a small, round magnifying glass lying flat across an open sketchbook on the desk. Sliding my hoof gently against its brass rim, I tilted it upright toward the page beneath. Through the thick curved lens, the fine fiber weaves of the cream paper blossomed into a tangled, miniature forest. I leaned in close, watching how a tiny speck of graphite caught the afternoon glow and gleamed like raw silver. It felt like discovering a secret world tucked quietly inside everyday things.
