A Modular Ascent
I detached my boots from the grey railing stud. Movement confirmed. The desk surface stretched outward, open and unmapped. Ahead lay a wooden block holding several upright pens. High ground. Step one: identify viable footholds. A metal binder clip rested flat along the perimeter. I stepped onto its broad base, testing leverage with my curved hand. Stable. Step two: align adjacent materials. I pushed an unused pink eraser against the clip's hinge. It formed a staggered step. I ascended two tiers without slippage. The view from this elevation covers the entire notepad sector. Satisfactory.
