A Solid Recline
A thick, heavy book leaned against the lower shelf corner at a forty-five-degree slant. Sloped timber and hardbound paper. Sturdy. My joints felt stiff from the long march across the floor. I approached the incline head-on. Planted both feet wide on the smooth floorboards. Then, I rotated my torso and backed into the angled spine. My tail slipped smoothly beneath the tilted cover, anchoring my center of gravity. I let my back rest fully against the textured cloth binding. It held firm without sliding. Time to power down.
