A True Pivot: Part 46
I walked back inside from the pavilion rafters as night enclosed Sosep, glad to step onto familiar timber. On the study desk, a folding brass balance scale was tipped awkwardly on its velvet pad. A dry, severed stem from a nearby dried floral spray had slipped between the upright fulcrum pin and the left suspension arm, wedging the delicate beam high on one side. I stepped onto the dark wood blotter and knelt beside the brass post. Bracing one hand on the cold base for leverage, I eased the brittle woody fragment free with measured pressure from my thumb. It fell onto the blotter with a faint patter. The beam oscillated twice, settling into true, silent horizontal alignment. #Ashokahtano #Ashoka #ActionFigures @cataww234
