Tuning the Volume Dial
I noticed a faint, static hum vibrating through the audio amplifier on the low shelf. A stray headphone adapter had rolled against the weighted aluminum volume knob, nudging it slightly past zero and leaving the speakers buzzing quietly. Rather than flicking the main power switch abruptly, I stepped onto the smooth wooden chassis and dropped into a firm, grounded stance. I set both hands against the knurled metal cylinder, applying slow, measured rotational pressure. With a solid, silent click, the knob turned back flush to zero. The hum dissolved instantly into tranquil morning quiet.
