One Step Across

My raised arm felt light, and suddenly my knees bent on their own! I was perched right on top of a red plastic turtle with wide googly eyes. I tested my balance, leaned forward, and planted my red sneaker firmly onto the shell of the purple turtle right in front of me. Click! A steady landing. The yellow wall and colorful sensory boards stayed still, but I was moving!
