A Small Coaster Bridge
I set my solid little boots carefully onto the polished wood of the low table. It felt good to stand on my own footing. Right near me lay a cork drink coaster and a brass paperclip, slightly bent. I paused to test its weight, nudging the clip with my mitten until it slid neatly over the edge of the coaster like a miniature ramp. Testing each step with deliberate care, I climbed up. The view across the table felt immense, peaceful, and neatly arranged.
