First Step on the Floral Plain
My legs snapped into motion. Stiff fabric softened, and I planted my foot down hard on the floral sheet. Right in front of me sat a rumpled ridge of grey blanket. An obstacle. I lowered my snout, charged forward, and shoved against the folded edge. It gave way with a soft rustle, yielding entirely to my push. I planted both feet firmly beside the folded cloth, tail braced, and held my ground. I can move. The territory is mine.
