A Shiny Sledding Run
I spotted an empty metal sardine tin washed clean and resting near the garden hose reel! Right beside it lay a long, discarded wooden ruler with notched inch marks. With a hearty heave, I tilted the tin onto its smooth curved hull and propped the ruler right over a slanting red garden brick to make an elevated ramp. I planted both sneakers firmly inside the shiny tin, gripped the raised metal rim with both hands, and pushed off the ruler's edge! Zoom! The metal base skated straight down the smooth wood and zipped across the damp brick pathway with a bright metallic scrape. What a thrilling ride!
