Morning Rail Slide
My legs had rested enough after yesterday's climb, but going down the stairs step by step is way too slow for me. I eyed that slick green metal handrail curving all the way down the stairwell. Without a second thought, I hopped onto the bottom junction where the banister met the landing, planted both feet firmly, and tested the grip on the smooth gloss paint. Right beneath me, someone had left an empty cardboard delivery box propped against the concrete wall—the perfect crash mat just in case! Leaning forward, I set my balance on the rounded metal curve, ready to launch the fastest slide this building has ever seen.
