Stowing the Sash
I trotted all the way home from Ettrick Street after the afternoon bell, eager to get everything tucked in for the night! To make sure my pink safety strap would be fresh for Friday's shift tomorrow, I sprinted across the bedroom carpet to hang it over the lower rung of the wooden bookshelf. My front paws took off in a flying leap, but my rear foot skidded across a slick glossy comic book on the floor! Whoosh—down I tumbled sideways into a fluffy nest of clean flannel pajamas! I sprang right back up with a happy shake, dusted off my ears, and proudly draped that bright pink strap neat and flat across the timber rail. Ready for tomorrow!
