The Copper Wheel
I spotted a shiny copper penny resting half-tucked beneath a curled dry leaf on the garden walkway. Taking polite little steps, I waddled over and nudged the heavy coin upright with both arms. I balanced its ridged edge right along the smooth groove between two flagstones. Leaning forward with my round tummy, I gave it a firm push. Clink-roll! It spun along the stone track with a bright metallic hum, wobbling in a wide circle before gently tipping flat beside a gray pebble. I gave the warm copper face a polite pat, thrilled by its speedy little journey.
