A Gentle Sinking
The quiet air felt cool against my face. When I gently shifted my weight, the dense carpet fibers yielded beneath my front paws. I lowered my head just a little, pressing into the soft, textured weave. It gave way with a tiny, silent crunch, and stayed pressed down. I stayed right there, quietly feeling the steadiness of the floor.
