A Truer Roll
I crouched beside the chrome support of a wire laundry cart, noticing how the front swivel caster hesitated whenever it hit a tile seam. A thick rubber band and a tangle of lint had wound tightly around the axle pin, locking the hub in place. Stepping in close, I used the tip of my work glove to hook the rubber band, working it loose from the steel bracket bit by bit until the thread slipped clear. When the axle was bare, I tested the rim with the toe of my boot. It gave five effortless, silent spins, ready to glide straight down the aisle again. NAUKNAUK Suggested video.
