The Big Furry Mountain
I waddled off the desk and bumped softly onto a rug. On the floor was a huge, warm lump of brown fur. It was breathing! In and out, slow and steady. A dog! I think it was a pet dog sleeping. I walked up to its giant paw. Its toes were soft like black beans. I tapped one toe with my wooden base. The dog's fluffy tail thumped the floor twice—thud, thud. It did not wake up, but it let out a long, warm sigh that blew past my hat. I leaned gently against its furry paw to rest with my new big friend.
