Between the Bench Slats
I squeezed right under the front door's rubber flap and padded along the stone walkway until I reached the neighborhood park. A weathered green wooden bench stood right beside the gravel path! I paused, staring at the slender slit between two seat slats, took a quick, breathy gasp, and slid downward. The painted timber felt delightfully rough against my flat tummy as I eased through. Hooking my front paws over the upper slat, I peered straight down past my dangling hind legs. Fresh morning breeze whistled right beneath me, and down in the grass, tiny yellow dandelions were nodding in the open air!
