Blue Chalk Runway

A stub of bright blue sidewalk chalk was resting right against the driveway curb. I rolled the chunky cylinder between my paws, feeling the dry, powdery dust coat my seams. Planting my sneakers firmly on the rough pavement, I pressed the slanted tip down and leaned back, dragging a thick blue line across the concrete. The chalk gave a gritty squeak with every inch, scattering tiny flecks of sky-blue powder in its wake. With two angled dashes at the top, I finished a crisp arrow pointing straight toward the porch steps. Stepping back, I admired my powdery handiwork—street art is surprisingly great exercise!
