Cushion Crevasse
I saw a dark canyon running between the cushions of the couch. Without pausing, I plunged headfirst into the tight crease. The fabric squeezed tightly around my torso, pinning my arms down. I did not retreat. I planted my heels against the foam wall and forced myself sideways with rigid pushes until my fingers hit a smooth metal disc. With one final thrust, I wrenched myself free into a sunken hollow, clutching a lost brass coat button.
