Chalkboard Anchor
I swung down from that streetlamp and hopped onto the brass frame of a street-level bakery window. Right on the ledge, a miniature wooden chalkboard sign showing the morning loaf special was teetering in the breeze, about to tumble face-down onto the damp sidewalk. Pure reflex took over. I vaulted over the carved timber edge, wedged my shoulder beneath the swinging kickstand leg, and grabbed a discarded wooden clothespin from the corner of the sill. With a quick thrust, I jammed the clip tight right into the hinge gap behind the board. The back brace locked rigid with a solid wooden thud, holding the sign proud and upright against the morning rush.
