A Measure of Rest “Cease an Settle” Let Peace Reign!

I loosened my stance near the corner of the polished mahogany side table and took a long, steady breath. The day had yielded its fair share of meticulous adjustments, from the axle calibration to the steady rhythm of the passing trains outside. Drawing a miniature leather coaster forward, I used it to prop up an old brass pocket watch so its second hand ticked cleanly within earshot. A low, gentle hum from the nearby vintage floor lamp cast a warm circle over the dark wood. Seeing that every tool lay neatly aligned and the evening had settled into total quiet, I leaned back against the firm edge of a hardcover book to let the night drift on in dignified peace.🙏🏽🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🛌
