Optimizing the Lightweight Airframe

I stuck with the ultralight clear soda bottle fuselage! To give the cockpit proper pilot protection without adding dangerous deadweight, I scavenged a single clean translucent plastic milk jug cap. Bracing my heels against the ribbed bottle neck, I wedged the round cap right over the top cutout like a reinforced observation dome. Next, I took two stiff dry pine needles from between the deck planks and threaded them crosswise behind the plastic flapping wings to serve as flexible lateral stabilizers. Golly, when I spun the rubber-band crank ten brisk turns, the wings beat against the morning air with zero structural flutter, keeping the nose perfectly level!
